Nephrology at Harbin Clinic

At Harbin Clinic Nephrology, we diagnose and treat kidney diseases, including electrolyte disturbances, hypertension, cystic diseases of the kidney, systemic conditions that can affect the kidneys and we see patients requiring follow-up kidney transplantation care and manage all modalities of dialysis.

A referral to a nephrologist is recommended if a patient’s GFR (Glomerular Filtration Rate – lab test used to measure the level of kidney function and determine the stage of kidney disease) is steadily declining. Other problems and conditions that adversely affect the kidney also require a referral. We recommend all referrals are requested by your family physician or another treating specialist, and that you bring accompanying medical records.
