Vein Treatments at Harbin Clinic
Using the latest technology, we take an advanced approach to the underlying cause of vascular disease. During your initial consultation, we customize a minimally-invasive treatment plan that may include:
VENASEAL™
The VenaSeal™ closure system improves blood flow by safely and effectively closing the varicose vein. A small amount of a medical adhesive is used to close the vein and blood is rerouted through nearby healthy veins.
Venefit™
Venefit™ is a minimally invasive treatment for varicose veins and Chronic Venous Insufficiency (CVI) in which a vein specialist inserts a Covidien ClosureFast™ Endovenous Radiofrequency Ablation (RFA) Catheter to collapse and close enlarged leg veins. After the vein is sealed shut, blood naturally re-routes to healthy veins.
Microphlebectomy
Microphlebectomy vein treatment, sometimes referred to as an ambulatory phlebectomy, is a minimally invasive way to remove damaged superficial varicose veins. During the varicose vein treatment, tiny micro-punctures are made to allow for the gentle extraction of varicose veins and larger reticular veins using a microphlebectomy instrument, which resembles a small hook. Incisions are often so small that no sutures are necessary.
Microphlebectomy vein treatments offer excellent results alone or when performed in conjunction with varicose vein laser surgery or Sclerotherapy spider vein treatment.
Sclerotherapy
Sclerotherapy eliminates varicose veins and “spider veins” via injection of a solution (such as sodium chloride, a salt solution, or sotradecol, a detergent) directly into the vein. The solution irritates the lining of the blood vessel, causing it to swell and stick together, and the blood to clot. Over time, the vessel turns into scar tissue that fades from view. Sclerotherapy is a well-proven procedure and has been in use since the 1930’s.
