Therapies & Techniques
ACTIVE RELEASE THERAPY
Active Release Technique (ART) is a patented, state-of-the-art soft tissue system/movement-based technique that treats problems with muscles, tendons, liagments, fascia, and nerves.
FUNCTIONAL MOVEMENT SCREENING
The FMS is a ranking and grading system that documents movement patterns that are key to normal function. By screening these patterns, the FMS readily identifies functional limitations and asymmetries. These are issues that can reduce the effects of functional training and physical conditioning and distort body awareness. Click here to see how it works.
GRASTON TECHNIQUE
Graston is an instrument-assisted soft tissue technique used to break up scar tissue, improve blood flow, decrease pain, and improve mobility.
KINESIO TAPING
Kinesio taping is used to inhibit/facilitate the muscle to allow proper function, improved range of motion, improved circulation, and faster healing. Kinesio taping is also used to re-educate the neuromuscular system, optimize performance, prevent injury, and decrease pain.
ELECTRICAL MUSCLE STIMULATION
Electrical muscle stimulation is used to decrease pain and spasms. It is also used to improve tissue healing and increase circulation.
GAIT & BALANCE TRAINING
We use multiple techniques that attempt to retrain the neuromuscular system to function properly.
NON-SURGICAL DISC DECOMPRESSION
Traction is used to decrease radicular pain, relieve nerve root/intra-disc pressure, stretch constricted tissue, and improve blood flow.
MANUAL THERAPIES
Myofascial release, trigger point release, and manual therapies are used to improve circulation, break down scar tissue adhesions, promote the healing process, enhance joint/muscle function, and eliminate pain.
SPINAL/JOINT MANIPULATION
Manipulation is used to restore proper motion in joints to help reduce pain. We use both manual and instrumentation techniques.
ULTRASOUND THERAPY
Ultrasound is used to decrease pain, decrease inflammation, promote issue healing, and increase circulation.
