You hear with your brain…NOT your ears!
  • You must wear your hearing aid consistently in order for your brain to adapt to sounds and let you hear and understand better.
  • It has probably been a long time since you have heard sound correctly, and it will take a few days to get used to the sounds from your hearing aid.
You must wear your hearing aid every day during the trial period.
  • It is best to put the aid on in the morning and wear it all day.
  • Take it off when sleeping, bathing, or engaging in activities where you will be sweating or exposed to dust.
  • Wear the hearing aid even if you are by yourself. You will subconsciously adapt to the sound and feel of the aid.
You might find that certain sounds bother you while wearing the hearing aid.
  • Your own voice might sound hollow or funny. This is normal and as you wear the aid more those sounds and your own voice will sound more natural.

Follow-Up Procedures

While your hearing aids are under warranty, there will be no charge for follow up visits. This does not include hearing tests that may be required for medical reasons. After the warranty expires, you may be charged for follow-up visits. Hearing aids and supplies are tax deductible.

You will be scheduled for a follow-up visit 2 weeks after you first get your hearing aid. At that time, we will make adjustments to the hearing aid and address any problems you experienced. You will be given a coupon book for 6 free packages of hearing aid batteries. You may be tested while wearing the hearing aids.

We will send you a card every six months to remind you to call for an appointment. At that time, we will clean and check your hearing aids and make any adjustments needed.

We will test your hearing every 2 years.
