Cardiologist Dr. Charlie Baggett Leads Upcoming TRED Walk & Talk
Rome, GA – Harbin Clinic cardiologist Dr. Charlie Baggett will be leading the upcoming TRED Walk & Talk on Saturday, June 24th through the historic Jackson Hill trails, beginning at 9:00 a.m. Participants will meet at the Rome Civic Center parking lot at 402 Civic Center Dr., Rome, GA. The event is free and open to the public.
During the walk, cardiologist Dr. Charlie Baggett will be prepared to answer health-related questions. As an avid outdoorsman and supporter of Harbin Clinic’s Prescribe Outside Campaign, he encourages staying active to improve heart health and overall wellness. Medical research shows that routine walks can lower the chances of heart attack, stroke and developing certain cancers. Regular walking can help increase heart rate which also improves blood flow and lowers blood pressure.
TRED’s Walk & Talk events take place monthly and highlight different trails throughout Rome as a part of their mission. The non-profit focuses on enhancing the community’s quality of life and economic development through an accessible, multi-use trail system that promotes alternative, eco-friendly, recreation and transportation opportunities. This physician-led Walk & Talk will start at the Rome Civic Center parking lot at 402 Civic Center Dr. and wind through the historic Jackson Hill trails, also popular for mountain biking and hiking.
