Harbin Clinic Endoscopy Center has once again earned esteemed certification from the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC). Effective for the next three years, this designation is awarded to top healthcare organizations that participate in rigorous and ongoing self-evaluation, peer review, and education in an effort to continuously improve their services and quality of care.
“Achieving AAAHC accreditation is a tremendous stamp of approval for our endoscopy lab and gastroenterology practice that reflects the quality of specialty care we provide to our patients,” said Dr. Ken Davis, President and CEO of Harbin Clinic. “I’m very proud of our staff for their unwavering commitment to going above and beyond to adhere to AAAHC’s high standards and enhance patient safety through continual quality improvement.”
A state-of-the-art facility, Harbin Clinic’s more than 5,500 square foot Endoscopy Center first earned AAAHC accreditation in 2003. The lab is comprised of three Gastroenterologists/Endoscopists who collectively perform more than 6,500 procedures per year and are fully trained to provide various types of anesthesia to ensure the comfort of their patients. Common tests and procedures performed at the lab include colonoscopies, flexible sigmoidoscopy (endoscopy of the rectum and sigmoid colon), esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD), and Bravo, which is an esophageal pH monitoring study.
