Seeking NP or PA to join our established provider team in Urology.
Requirements:
- Board Certified with active GA licensure (or eligible)
- Previous experience in Urology preferred; open to new graduates with a career focused interest in Urology
Schedule:
- Monday through Thursday, 8 am to 5 pm – OP clinic
- Friday, 8 am to 5 pm – IP rounds
- OP and IP schedule may fluctuate depending on needs of practice
- No weekend or call requirements
Scope of practice includes:
Out Patient:
- Conduct comprehensive and focused urologic assessments, including history, physical exams, and review of diagnostic results.
- Diagnose and manage common urologic conditions such as BPH, urinary incontinence, kidney stones, hematuria, UTIs, and erectile dysfunction.
- Perform in-office procedures (as credentialed), including:
- Catheter placements and changes (Foley, suprapubic)
- Uroflowmetry and bladder scans
- Cystoscopy and urodynamic testing (if trained)
- Provide pre-operative evaluations and post-operative follow-up care.
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and preventive care.
- Collaborate with urologists, nurses, and ancillary staff to coordinate care and ensure optimal outcomes.
- Document all patient encounters accurately and timely in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education.
Inpatient
- Perform daily rounds on urology inpatients, including post-operative and consult patients.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and develop treatment plans.
- Manage acute urologic conditions such as urinary retention, hematuria, obstructive uropathy, and infections.
- Respond to inpatient and emergency department urology consults.
- Assist with inpatient procedures such as:
- Catheter placements and exchanges (Foley, suprapubic)
- Nephrostomy tube care
- Bladder irrigation and management of hematuria
