Opportunities available for Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our growing Cardiology team:
1 for General Cardiology
1 for Electrophysiology
Both positions will see patients in clinic and hospital settings in all areas served.
Job Duties:
- See patients in office 5 days per week except hospital rotation week
- Hospital rotation week, one full week per month, includes 1/2 day hospital and 1/2 day office clinic
- Clinic hours are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, M – F
- Participates in weekend hospital rounds one weekend per month Sat. & Sun
- Documentation to be completed within 24 to 48 hours of seeing patients
- Work schedule is subject to change to respond to demands and efficiencies needed for the practice
Scope of practice:
- Effectively identify, evaluate and address prevention and treatment of cardiovascular disease
- Collaborate with medical team, ensuring the safety of patients when indicated
- Demonstrate proficiency in EKG interpretation, heart monitors, labs & other related cardiac testing (training provided for EKG if necessary)
- Understand cardiac diseases, treatments, procedures, including familiarity with cardiac medication
- Maintain accurate and update medical records in accordance with clinic policy
- Provide education to patients and families
- Assist staff with patient issues, tasks, emergencies
- Maintain current educational/credentialing/certification requirements
