Advance directives help give peace of mind to family members and allow your doctors to know your health-care preferences. Unfortunately, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention find that more than 70 percent of Americans lack an advance directive.
Often times talking about end of life care can be difficult, that is why Harbin Clinic and Redmond Regional Medical Center are playing host to a discussion on advance directives on Thursday, Sept. 15 at 5:30 PM at the Rome Area History Museum.
Harbin Clinic Chief Medical Officer Dr. Ed McBride and long-time Rome attorney Bob Berry will give presentations about advance directives and what patients and their family members need to know.
