Healthy Smoothie Recipes

Add a healthy smoothie to your diet each day, preferably in the morning.  Add all ingredients together and blend.  This is a convenient way to get several servings of fruits, vegetables and clean protein.  L-Glutamine helps to preserve muscle function and has been shown to decrease toxicity of chemotherapy and radiation.  Be creative and add others veggies and fruits to taste.

TO EACH SMOOTHIE ADD: 

  • 1 tsp. Agave nectar (low glycemic index sweetener)
  • L-Glutamine powder (5,000 mg)
  • For Veggie serving add: 1 tsp. Shredded carrots, kale, broccoli, or other favorite veggie

 

Blueberry Dream

  • ¼ cup water
  • ½ cup fresh or frozen blueberries
  • 1 serving whey protein
  • 2 tsp. flax seed oil
  • ½ cup ice

 

Fruit Smoothie

  • 1 banana, chunked
  • 1 serving whey protein
  • 3 large strawberries
  • ½ cup soy, rice or almond milk
  • ½ cup ice
  • ½ cup yogurt (vanilla)

High Whey Protein Smoothie

  • ¼ cup almonds
  • ½ cup raisins
  • 1 banana, chunked
  • 2 servings whey protein
  • 1 cup soy, rice or almond milk
  • ½ cup ice

Peanut Butter Chocolate Truffle

  • 2 servings chocolate whey protein
  • 1 Tbsp. peanut butter
  • 2 cups soy, rice or almond milk
  • ½ cup ice
  •  

Peanut Butter Smoothie

  • 1 ½ cups bananas
  • 1 cup soy, rice or almond milk
  • 1 serving vanilla whey protein
  • 1 Tbsp. creamy peanut butter, natural
  • ½ cup yogurt (vanilla)

Weight Gainer

  • 14 oz. water soy, rice or almond  milk
  • 2 bananas
  • 3 Tbsp. peanut butter
  • 2 servings whey protein (any flavor)
