Harbin Clinic has attained the highest level of certification from the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) for its patient-centered approach to providing comprehensive healthcare. All of Harbin’s primary care practices – including family medicine, internal medicine and pediatrics – have been certified, and the Tony E. Warren Cancer Center has earned esteemed recognition as the first Patient-Centered Specialty Practice (PCSP) in Georgia.
The NCQA Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) recognition is the most widely used method of transforming primary care practices into “medical homes.” The Harbin Medical Home is founded on a care delivery model that stresses a close relationship between a patient and his or her primary care physician. NCQA’s Patient-Centered Specialty Practice (PCSP) program recognizes specialty care providers that successfully coordinate patient care and communicate with their primary care colleagues, other specialists and patients. Like the PCMH certification, PCSP recognition has specific standards for providing timely access to care and continuous quality improvement.
Harbin Clinic’s NCQA-certified primary care division and Tony E. Warren Cancer Center excel at providing seamlessly coordinated care that results in faster recovery and enhanced wellness for patients. Harbin’s integrated care approach yields better health outcomes and high quality, accessible, efficient, and cost-effective healthcare overall.
“Harbin Clinic is committed to delivering exceptional healthcare services across each of our medical specialty and primary care practices, which work collaboratively to provide high-quality care for patients of all ages,” said Harbin Clinic President and CEO Ken Davis, MD. ”Earning NCQA recognition is a major milestone for our organization, as it signifies that clinicians within our primary care network and oncology practice have undergone a rigorous review of clinical practices and performance and have demonstrated the highest levels of excellence in healthcare coordination and communication. We are so proud of our talented team for earning this elite certification of excellence.”
