Avene

The heritage of dermo-cosmetic brand Eau Thermale Avène dates back over 260 years to the discovery of the curative properties in thermal water. Originating as rain, the water filters through the Cévennes Mountains absorbing precious minerals and trace elements for 40 years until it reaches the mouth of the ancient Sainte-Odile spring. The modern age of Avène began in 1975 when Pierre Fabre, the now second-largest, independent pharmaceutical company in France, acquired the spring and its surrounding land. Since then, over 300 stringent biological, pharmacological and clinical studies on the thermal water have been conducted by Pierre Fabre and independent researchers to substantiate the skin healing and soothing benefits. Low in mineral content, rich in softening silicate and bacteriologically pure, it is ideal for the treatment of skin conditions like atopic dermatitis, eczema and psoriasis. The Avène Dermatological Hydrotherapy Center, based on these properties and the legacy of the first thermal establishment built there in 1743, welcomes up to 4,000 patients a year to its state-of-the-art medical facility to treat skin conditions in adults and children. Launched in 1990 the Eau Thermale Avène skincare brand was created to capture these same healing benefits to soothe sensitive skins worldwide. Avène is widely recognized as #1 in French pharmacies among dermo-cosmetic skincare brands and also the most recommended by European dermatologists.

Microdermabrasion

Microdermabrasion works by gently removing the uppermost layer of skin with a slightly rough applicator tip. As a result, skin has a brighter and younger appearance. This treatment can help improve: Dull complexion Uneven skin tone or texture Age spots or dark spots Melasma Patients with the following may not be candidates for microdermabrasion: Active rosacea Fragile capillaries or vascular lesions Active acne Warts Open sores Psoriasis Lupus Uncontrolled diabetes Susceptibility to cold sores (unless being treated by antiviral therapy)

Chemical Peels

Chemical peels are used to treat: Some types of acne Age spots. Uneven skin tone Dull or blotchy complexion. Fine lines, especially under the eyes and around the mouth. Freckles. Melasma. Rough-feeling skin. Sun-damaged skin. Chemical peels are not recommended for individuals with infections, active skin diseases, cut or broken skin, sunburns or active Herpes simplex 1 sores. Other reasons why patients may not be candidates include: Nursing or pregnant. Have taken Accutane in last six months. Have psoriasis, eczema, dermatitis or rosacea. Have used Retin-A, Renova, prescription skin care products, products that contain ascorbic acid, bleaching or skin-lightening agents or other acid-based products in the last 48 hours.

Microphlebectomy

During the varicose vein treatment, tiny micro-punctures are made to allow for the gentle extraction of varicose veins and larger reticular veins using a microphlebectomy instrument, which resembles a small hook. Incisions are often so small that no sutures are necessary. Microphlebectomy vein treatments offer excellent results alone or when performed in conjunction with varicose vein laser surgery or Sclerotherapy spider vein treatment.

Injectable Fillers

Dermal fillers are gel-like, volumizing substances that are injected beneath the skin to restore lost volume, smooth fine lines and deep creases, or enhance facial contours. Over the last few years, more than 1 million men and women annually have chosen this popular facial rejuvenation treatment, which can be a cost-effective way to look younger without surgery or downtime. While dermal fillers are known as wrinkle fillers, they can do more than just smooth wrinkles. Here are a few of the common issues dermal fillers can help address: Smooth out lines around nose and mouth (a.k.a. marionette lines, smile lines, and parentheses) Enhance & restore volume to sunken cheeks Diminish vertical lip lines Plump & enhance the lips Smooth out a chin crease

Juvederm

Juvederm is the world's top-selling family of dermal fillers that can smooth moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds such as vertical lip lines, corner lines and marionette lines that appear around your nose and mouth. YOUR SKIN CHANGES OVER TIME There are several different types of facial lines that form around your nose and mouth. These include the parentheses lines, vertical lip lines, corner lines, and marionette lines. As you age, these lines may become more noticeable. As you age, your skin loses elasticity and moisture. This normal aging process, plus environmental factors like sun exposure, cause different facial lines to form, including moderate to severe wrinkles and folds. Your doctor can choose the Juverderm formulations that can meet your needs to fill in moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds or for volumizing and correcting deeper facial wrinkles and folds.    Harbin Clinic Dermatology
