Harbin Clinic is pleased to announce that its GI & Endoscopy Lab received the Excellence in Professionalism Award from the American Board of Certification for Gastroenterology Nurses (ABCGN). This award is presented to exceptional healthcare organizations who have displayed a commitment to excellence by having more than 50 percent of their nurses certified in Gastroenterology.
“Receiving the Excellence in Professionalism Award from the ABCGN is an incredible honor for our endoscopy lab because it demonstrates how dedicated we are to the improvement of our specialty care,” said Dr. Ken Davis, President and CEO of Harbin Clinic. “I’m proud of our nurses for their ongoing devotion to proficiency, patient health and letting the community know we care.”
The highly skilled Endoscopic nurses help diagnose and treat patients with digestive and gastrointestinal tract issues. They assist the three Gastroenterologists/Endoscopists who collectively perform many tests in the lab, such as colonoscopies, flexible sigmoidoscopy (endoscopy of the rectum and sigmoid colon), esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD), and Bravo, which is an esophageal pH monitoring study.
