Harbin Clinic is pleased to announce the 30-year anniversary of Board Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon and Sports Medicine Physician, Darrell G. Lowrey, MD. “Dr. Lowery is highly regarded by his patients and colleagues,” said Dr. Ken Davis, CEO of Harbin Clinic. “He is a great asset to the clinic and our community. We applaud Dr. Lowrey for all he has accomplished in the community and in his profession, and look forward to the years ahead.”
Dr. Lowrey is committed to his hometown and local community, having graduated from Armuchee High school where he participated in football, basketball and track (setting a school record for the 880m). He has coached many community baseball, softball and basketball teams for Rome-Floyd Parks and Recreation Authority. He is an Orthopaedic Physician for the Rome Braves and the Team Physician for Darlington High School’s football team.
Dr. Lowrey joined Harbin Clinic in 1984. He received his Medical Doctorate degree from the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta. He completed his undergraduate education at the University of Georgia in Athens. Dr. Lowrey completed a residency at the University of Louisville Hospitals in Kentucky and completed a fellowship in Sports Medicine at Hughston Orthopaedic Clinic in Columbus, GA. He is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and a member of the American Academy of Sports Medicine. Dr. Lowrey’s practice focuses on sports medicine with emphasis on knees and shoulders. Dr. Lowrey currently serves on the board for River City Bank, and has previously served on boards for Rome First United Methodist Church, Boys and Girls Club of Rome and Rome-Floyd YMCA.
