When it comes to practicing family medicine, Dr. Karen Eberhart says she believes family means all ages — from newborns to great grandparents and everyone in between.
Family Medicine Physician with Pediatric Expertise
Eberhart joined Harbin Clinic Family Medicine Cedartown in August to help treat not only adults and kids but newborns as well by offering the full line of screenings and immunizations for children of all ages.
Dr. Eberhart, who completed her residency in family medicine at Floyd Medical Center in Rome, wants everyone in Polk County to know they can get quality care for their newborns in town.
“I do all the same procedures, whether it’s shots or screenings for infants and newborns that they do in Rome, except you can stay here and get those services in Cedartown,” she says. “The part I like about true family medicine is being able to take care of everyone. I can take care of a newborn baby and also treat her mom as well.”
Qualified to see newborn patients & up
While she loves seeing patients of all ages, seeing newborns and children is a favorite of Dr. Eberhart’s.
“I really enjoy working with patients of all ages, but taking care of infants and babies is a fun part of my practice,” she says. “Seeing newborns and helping them really brightens up my day and helps keep me on my toes.”
Since joining Harbin Clinic Family Medicine Cedartown in August, Eberhart has enjoyed every moment of working in Cedartown and Northwest Georgia.
“I really love the small-town feel and the Southern hospitality I get in Cedartown, that and the small change in seasons is also nice,” she says. “It’s awesome being in Cedartown. I’m really enjoying it here.”
While Dr. Eberhart sees several patients, she says she is eager to see more.
“I’ve got several patients now but for anyone out there looking for a primary care physician or thinking of switching, I would like to let them know I would be happy and honored to be able to take care of them and their entire family,” she says.
